Kati Lightholder: Actress, Producer & Lover of the Color Blue
Kati Lightholder is an actress best known for her versatility and comedic style. She currently appears as co-host of PBS's "Pedal America."
Kati got her first taste of acting when she was nine years old in an adaptation of Robin Hood and as a teenager she excelled in theatre. She went on to study video production and spent several years working behind the scenes on feature films and mini-series. After producing the hit SyFy.com series "The Mercury Men," Kati returned to acting where she quickly landed feature roles in several independent films and commercials. From dramatic roles (Lola, Catatonic) to horror spoofs (Zombie Proof) to admittedly obnoxious roles (Mr. Pleasant), Kati has portrayed a variety of characters, but found a sweet spot with humor (Greg & Donny pilot, Twelve, Sonny Days).
Kati has a love for biking and a sometimes annoying knowledge of health and nutrition information. She is married, and like you, she also thought her last name was strange the first time she heard it.
"Super Talent. Super Person. So lucky to have worked with Kati." -Jon Kasunic, Exec. Producer, Crows Run Pictures
"She took control of the room when she needed to, but it was her quieter, subtler moments where she was the most fierce, showing she was a force to be reckoned with."
-Mike Smith, Producer, Lemon Drops
"As an octogenarian I should know through experience what I'm talking about - you are so totally refreshing!"
